[VMAC] ‘Allow Full Disk Access of V3’ Notification Shows Up
For macOS 10.15 or later, you must grant full disk access to the files listed below in order to enable V3’s scan feature.
- For macOS 11 or later: v3medic, v3svc, AhnES
- macOS 10.15: v3medic, v3svc
The V3 notification pop-up may appear for allowing full disk access on systems where access has not been granted.
For macOS 13 or later
If you click [Fix Now] to enable V3’s Real-time Scan feature when full disk access has not been allowed, a guide window as shown below will appear.
Click [Open System Settings] to access Settings. Then go to [Privacy & Security] > [Full Disk Access].
Click the toggle buttons to the right of AhnES, v3medic, v3svc files on the list to turn on their Full Disk Access.
You must enter the Mac system password to modify settings. Enter the Mac system password when the input box appears.
Verify that all the toggle buttons for AhnES, v3medic, and v3svc from the Full Disk Access list are turned on, and then close the window to complete the settings.
For macOS 12 or earlier
If you click [Fix Now] to enable V3’s Real-time Scan feature when full disk access has not been allowed, a guide window as shown below will appear.
Click [Open System Preferences] to access [Security & Privacy] window.
Go to [Privacy] > [Full Disk Access] from the top of the Security & Privacy window.
Click the lock icon located on the bottom left side of the window to make changes. Enter the Mac system password when the input box appears.
Once unlocked, check all three v3medic, v3svc, and AhnES items, then click the lock icon again.
※ For macOS 10.15, only v3medic and v3svc should be checked.
