[LOG] Collecting Process Dump with AhnReport
A process dump file, that is generated while the symptoms reproduce, is required for cause analysis if an issue occurs, or CPU usage spikes abnormally during the process.
Follow the steps below to collect process dumps using AhnReport.
To Create a Dump File
1. Download the AhnReport file from the link below and then run it.
2. Click Tools > [Create Dump File...] from the top menu of AhnReport.
3. Select the process for which you wish to create the dump file.
* For ASDSvc.exe, the main process of V3, there may be similar process names among AhnLab products.
Please check the path or PID to verify that the selected process is for the product you want.
- IS9.0: C:\Program Files\AhnLab\V3IS90
- ES9.0: C:\Program Files\AhnLab\V3ES90
- NET9.0: C:\Program Files\AhnLab\V3NET90
4. Specify the path to save the dump file and click [OK].
- Default Path: C:\ProgramData\AhnLab\Dumps
5. Once a message about task completion is displayed, the dump file is successfully created.
To Collect a Dump File
The dump file is generated in the following name at the specified save path.
File Name: <process name>.<PID>.<creation time>.dmp
If only the dump file is needed, you can manually collect this file and deliver it to the Technical Support Center.
If you are collecting AhnReport together, when you save the AhnReport using [Report Product Error], the dump created on that day will be automatically included in the AhnReport result file.
However, it will not be collected automatically if the dump size exceeds 500 MB, and you will have to collect it manually.
