How to check the latest engine version
The 'Engine Version' displayed in the bottom-right corner of the V3 screen indicates the version of the engine containing malware information.
The latest engine version provided by AhnLab can be found under 'V3 Engine Version' at the bottom of the AhnLab.com website.
- OES: Official Engine Service. The latest released engine
- SES: Stable Engine Service. The engine distributed approximately three days after the latest engine is distributed
If the update server for the V3 you are using is an internal server rather than an AhnLab server, the latest engine version may differ from the version posted on AhnLab.com.
How to check the latest V3 product version
The V3 product version is the version that can be found by selecting [?] > [About] in the upper-right corner of the UI. The product version changes when there are modifications to the V3 program itself, such as the addition of features.
For the V3 product line, regular patches are generally released in the first and second halves of the year. Additional patches may be released when product-related files are changed.
For enterprise V3 products, you can check the latest version information in the release notes available from Document Center.
In an online update environment, patches are applied together when the engine is updated.
However, in a closed network environment where the engine is updated manually, patch files must be applied separately.
