[VMAC] Setting Up Scheduled Scan
You can use the scheduled scan to set V3 to automatically perform the scan at a set time.
Follow the steps below to set up the scheduled scan in V3 for Mac.
To Set Up the Scheduled Scan
1. Click the ‘Settings’ button at the bottom left of the main V3 screen.
2. Go to Scan Settings > Schedule Setting, click the lock icon at the bottom left and enter the macOS system password.
3. Check the box next to ‘Scheduled Scan’ to enable the feature, and then click [Add].
4. Once the ‘Add Scheduled Scan’ window appears, enter the ‘Scan name’, select the ‘Scan time’ and ‘CPU usage’, and then click [OK].
- Scan name: Enter the name for the scan to be added to the list of scheduled scans.
- Scan time: Set the scan frequency. It can be set to repeat Everyday, Weekly, Monthly, or just once.
- CPU usage: Set how much CPU resource V3 will use during the scan. Setting the CPU usage higher will speed up the scanning speed of V3, but it may affect the performance of other programs that are running on the PC. Setting it lower will slow down the scanning speed.
5. Once the scheduled scan is added, click [OK] to exit Settings.
Scheduled Scan Status
If the PC is turned on at the time you set the scheduled scan, the scan will run in the background.
Once the scan begins, a clock will appear above the V3 tray icon.
If you need to stop the scan, click the V3 tray icon and click [Cancel Scheduled Scan] from the displayed menu.
