For some V3 product lines where the product number is entered directly during installation, you can change the product number in the product information.

If you were using an old authentication product number and have been newly issued a new authentication product number, you can change the number using the product number change feature.

New Authentication Product Number

If you received a new authentication product number upon contract renewal, the old version product number you were using will expire after one year.

PCs with V3 installed using the old version product number need to switch to the new authentication product number.

Product Number Format

There are the following differences in product number formats, so please refer to these when changing the product number.

• New Authentication Product Number: A123-BC45-67D8-E9FG-HI0K (20 characters / mix of letters and numbers)
• Old Authentication Product Number: 12345678-12345678 (16 digits)

How to Change the Product Number

1. On the upper-left menu bar of your Mac system, click AhnLab V3 for Mac and select Change authentication information.

2. When the product number registration window appears, enter the newly issued product number and then select [Register].

• You can check the newly issued product number at [MyCompany]-[License]-[Purchase Status].

3. The updated authentication information can be viewed in the [About AhnLab V3 for Mac] menu.

• Authentication Code: This is an encrypted value of the product number; if the product numbers are the same, the authentication code will also be identical.
