[V3] -492 Error Occurs When Updating V3
Error Cause
The -492 error may occur when there is a network issue causing failure to access the verification server required for updates.
It could be because of a temporary network issue, or the access to the verification server is blocked by the settings such as firewall, VPN program, or network device.
Recommended Actions
If the -492 error persists, please try taking the actions below.
Try Again Later
The update could have be attempted when the PC has not connected to the network after rebooting. Please try again later.
Check Network Environment
The access to AhnLab’s verification server could have been blocked in the network environment. Contact your company’s network department, or your internet service provider.
Check Management Server
If AhnLab Security Agent is installed along with V3, the server network environment or policies may have changed even though the updates were previously received through the management server.
Contact your IT department or company administrator for any changes.
Check Firewall/VPN
The access could have been blocked by a firewall or VPN program that was installed on your PC.
If any new program was installed recently, please check again after uninstalling them.
If it is hard to determine the exact error cause, collect AhnReports and then contact us. We will quickly respond after reviewing the Update Error Logs.
