For some V3 product lines that require the license number to be entered manually during installation, you can change the license number in the [About].

If you have consolidated license numbers while renewing your contract, or if you were using an old authentication license number and were newly issued a new authentication license number, you can use the license number change feature to change the number.

New Authentication License number

If you were issued a new authentication license number when renewing your contract, you must change the old license number to the new authentication license number on PCs where V3 was installed with the old license number.

However, if you renewed your contract while the existing license still had remaining days, change the license number and continue using the product after the existing product expires.

License Number Format

Note the following differences in license number formats when changing the license number.

• New authentication license number: A123-BC45-67D8-E9FG-HI0K (20 characters / combination of letters and numbers)
• Old authentication license number: 12345678-12345678 (16 digits)

Supported Version

• 9.0.78.9 (build 1972) or later

9.0.78.9 was patched in the first half of 2023. Change Serial Number button is not displayed in products with earlier versions.

In this case, you must uninstall V3 and then install the new version from [Control Panel]-[Programs and Features] or [Settings]-[Apps] to change the license number.

How to Change the License Number

1. Select [?]-[About] in the upper-right corner of the V3 screen.

2. Select [Change Serial Number] in the Product Information window.

※ The 'Change Serial Number' button is not displayed if the product version is too old or if V3 is managed through EPP Security Agent.

3. Enter the license number you want to change to and select [OK].

※ You can check the newly issued product number at [MyCompany]-[License]-[Purchase status].

4. Select [OK] in the notification window indicating that the license number has been registered to return to the V3 main screen.

5. Select Product Information again to check the changed Verification Code.

※ Verification Code: An encrypted value of the license number. If the license numbers are the same, the Verification Codes are also the same.
