Why you should be careful when entering the "-" symbol into the search bar.
Why is the "-" symbol a problem?
When you search in the ASK search bar, if you put "-" in your search query, the article you are looking for may not be found.
Why is that so?
ASK's search bar behaves similarly to other search engines. And “-” is the symbol most search engines use to exclude certain words. Therefore, if you search by adding the "-" symbol, the results will exclude articles containing that word.
Example of the most unfortunate case
If you search by adding a "-" sign to a single word as shown below, no articles will be found.
Unfortunately, some of AhnLab's products have error codes that start with a "-" symbol. If you want to search for these error codes, please search without the "-" symbol.
